Park Model

For those of you (sadly) not familiar with RV Resort Living, it will come as a surprise to you (as it did to me) that not all RV Resort Livers live in RVs.  There are permanent residents - although often seasonal - who make their homes in RV Parks and don't live in RVs.  They move up a step (unless you have a 50 foot motor coach, in which case it is probably moving down a step) to a Park Model.  A Park Model is a mobile home which is a "single wide" - usually living room in the front, kitchen and dining nook next, then bathroom, then bedroom.  A combination deck and Arizona Room run the length on one side, and then a covered carport is next to that, often with a shed in the back.  There are literally inches on either side of this 3-bay wide setup, and then the next park model repeats the pattern.  Thus, here is our Park Model - 53 B - shown off by the proud new owner:

As you see, it came complete with 2 saguaros, a barrel cactus, a palm tree, a wooden windmill, a metal sunflower, etc.  Instead of park models, there are RV sites on either side.

THE TOUR

First, there is the front deck.  (Underneath are doors with sliding boxes for storage.)  Inside the slider is the living room.

A TV nook and built-in casette player and, believe it or not, ceiling speakers in the living room and bedroom  make a nice AV package.
The dining nook was set up with a table for two and a bottle of wine.  Now that's a good realtor!
The kitchen has a chicken theme going.  Again, note the tea service all set out.
The bath:
The bedroom is difficult to get a photo of because there is nowhere to stand - but the mirror doors increase the appearance of space.
And, last but not least, the Arizona room (which is an unheated room with lots of windows):

There is a nice view out the front:

And, a real score, this is what is inside the shed - and I'm not talking rug shampooer(!):

SO, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THIS HOME?

First, of course, we are going to paint!  Notice how the woodwork is really blotchy looking with fake knots that have all kinds of horrible faces.  See the monkey face?
So, this is what our garage looks like:

Which is why I am taking a break and working on this blog.

IMPROVEMENTS?

Okay, so here is the new lighter brighter look:
